The Lord Jesus Christ is the object of all revelation and hope of eternal life.  Yet, few ministers agree as to the Godhead, Person, and work of this only Messiah, the Christ.  The prophet Isaiah prophesied concerning the knowledge of the revelation of Messiah.  “For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.” (Isaiah 9:5).  All of us are warriors in the battle of knowing the truth, either for or against Christ. This battle is with confused noise; noise from Babylon of confusion related wholly to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.  Without controversy, at the present hour, there is still confusion in the body of Christ as to “Who is Christ?” Some respond that it is just not for mankind to know, for some things are believed to be only revealed in the hereafter, in “the sweet by and by”.

However, Paul states that the full maturing of the body of Christ unto the measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ is based solely upon the church as the bride coming into the full knowledge of the Son of God; knowledge that is not only intellectual but held in the intuition of the human spirit and conscience being one with the Holy Ghost. It is to this end that the Holy Ghost was given in the first place, to lead and guide us unto perfection.  For immature revelation at best can only bring forth after its kind which is immature Christians as concerning the works that must be found perfect before the Lord Jesus descends from heaven at His second advent.  Most professing Christians do not believe that they must be perfect as their Father in heaven is perfect.  For most believe that they will never be perfect, only forgiven.  The scrutinizing eye of the Lord Jesus Christ in judgment will try His body the church according to our works.  These works must be found perfect, the bride having made herself ready, without spot or blemish, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

We must all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of Jesus Christ as stated by Paul to the Church at Ephesus.  “And he gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11, 12).  It is to this end that this book is written. For it is the author’s belief that all of us must dig deeper by growing in faith and knowledge of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until all come unto a perfect man, Jesus Christ, and be presented blameless at His appearing, both spirit, soul, and body.
