“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12,13).
Jesus gave us the power to become the sons of God. “Power to become” is a progressive work that is yet future in the sons of God ruling and reigning in the earth. The kingdom of God reveals the power, glory, dignity, and honor of Jesus name; the name of Jesus then revealed to all people, nations, and tongues. The manifested sons of God will reign and rule in the same glory and honor that Jesus has paid for; that is, in bringing many sons unto glory. Those that suffer being counted worthy of the kingdom of God will also reign in same glory with Him. Being one with Jesus is the manifestation of the sons of God as a mirror image of Jesus, all believers making up the body of Christ with Jesus as the head, making but one spiritual man that fills heaven and earth. This is the revelation of the Son of man which is the kingdom of God designator or office. The Revelation of Jesus is not just the second advent of Jesus; but Jesus revealed in the manifested sons of God. This is “sonship” being one with Jesus; Jesus being the forerunner for us in completing his body unto perfection.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.” (Hebrews 1:1,2).
In the Old Testament times God spoke to his people through the prophets who were anointed by the Spirit of Christ that was in them. Now God speaks to us by His Son as the Word manifesting Jesus in and through the body of Christ, revealing Jesus to a lost and dying world.
